Cutting boards are useful and can be beautiful works of art, and making one is a great way to learn some basic carpentry skills.

Our 5-hour workshop will teach you the basics of cutting board making from start to finish. We will teach you everything from the properties and selection aspects of wood materials, how to glue up your workpiece together in a way that will last long, and what little tricks you can use to create a smoothly polished, finished, food-safe, unique product that can be part of your everyday life.
During the workshop, you will get a taste of the basic operations of carpentry:
- glue up,
- using a table saw,
- planning on a planer-jointer,
- edge milling,
- wood repair,
- sanding,
- finishing with food-grade oil.
The end result is a beautiful cutting board made of quality wood, unique and reflecting your taste, to take home.
The workshop is designed to be done by beginners, too.

- Course tools and materials: we provide the necessary machines and tools, the price of the timbers and materials (adhesives, finishes, etc.) you need to conclude our workshop is included in the course fee. You are advised to bring a notebook and a pencil or a pen.
