Would you like to learn how to field survey, design, assemble and install a complete kitchen cabinet? Would you like to help children to recover in better conditions? Then we are the right place for you!
In our 4-day workshop you will learn everything step by step. You can use the knowledge gained here to make children’s furniture, built-in wardrobes, cabinets, hallway furniture, etc. – in other words, other laminate chipboard furniture.
What you can learn:
Design:
- On-site survey;
- Kitchen design considerations: use of space, layout, ergonomics, proportions;
- Modern solutions for drawer, door and corner units – using special hardware products;
- Current design trends;
- Choice of materials: characteristics, machining, surface treatment of fronts, worktops and certain types of materials (e.g.: MDF painted fronts gloss and matt finishes Acrylic coating, milling and decorating, etc.);
- Design of joints, fittings, practical aspects (dowel, biscuit joint, screw, edging);
- Design and installation aspects of kitchen appliances and equipment;
- Solutions for legs and plinths, their typical height.
- Design aspects of wardrobes, cabinets and other laminate chipboard furniture.
Construction preparation:
- Construction of carcass („cabinet body”), preparation of front panels;
- Preparation and pre-fitting of holes for various fittings, use of suggested templates;
- Types of worktops, preparation, fitting, jointing, sealing, edging;
- Types of fasteners, their installation.
Assembly:
- On-site assembly and installation procedure, sequence, tricks;
- Installation of plinths, leveling, fixing of body elements, etc;
- Installation of built-in machines, sink, front panels for built-in machines;
- Worktop installation and attachment to kitchen wall waterproofing;
- Fittings adjustments.
The kitchen made at the workshop will be donated to a charity or foundation in need (e.g. Heim Pál Children’s Hospital, Bókay Street Children’s Clinic, St. John’s Hospital, etc.)

- Course fee with English interpretation: 300.000 Ft/person (If you bring someone to interpret for you, the course fee is 200 000 Ft.)
- Duration: 4 x 8 hours
- Course tools and materials: we provide the necessary machines and tools, price of the particle boards and materials (adhesives, finishes, etc.) you need to conclude our workshop is included in the course fee. You are adviced to bring a notebook and pencil or pen.
